Firstly, a several words about us. Free Masters Club “Art • RAZOR” gathered in its ranks people of different ages, different professions and occupations.We are united by a reverent attitude to tools for shaving and production enthusiasm. All members of the Club are the real masters who put all their experience to the common business.Each of us has its own idea of what should be a modern razor, what steel should be used for a blade, what material should be used to make a handle, and what should be as a finished product. They say “many men, many minds”. However, we can easily find a common language while discussing new models quickly come to an agreement. And start to work.

New model: compact shaver in the style of "eurokamisori"

"Art•RAZOR" continues the line of razors, the "Eastern" style. A few months ago I presented the razor model "Shin Shiki" ("New style"), which incorporates the features of both European razor and traditional Japanese kamisori. In principle, the idea of such combination is not new, but in this trend perhaps a huge number of variations. Now that our team understands better queries of fans of shaving and more fully take into account individual differences and preferences, I want to introduce a new model "CITIZEN".

Dreams Do Come True

Once upon a time our chief, master Frans, dreamt to make a real razor from the very beginning. And I would like to see it quite modern but certainly no worse than those of many samples of the "classic" era, that have been seen by we while sharpening and restoration. A few months ago this dream came true. Our Free Masters Club “Art•RAZOR” consists of the real enthusiasts , managed in short terms( in fact on Spring and Summer 2016) not the only our instrument conception for a quality shave but also created quite a diverse lineup, which is a solid foundation for further production .

Now Let’s Talk About The Handle

There is a handle (or “scales”) that has great importance, especially in terms of design in a world of handcraft razor production. It’s shape depends on the shape of a blade. It is clear, if a razor has its traditional, “classic” form (and by the way, who knows what is classic exactly?) a handle will be the same configuration. It is important to note that our customers are interested in the aesthetic factor. First of all, I would like to describe the materials for the razor handcraft, before we move on this theme.

Observations About Steel And A Quality Of Razors

The first thing that needs to be said we make razors. And we convinced they are good. But these words would be nothing without positive comments of our customers who bought a razor with a mark “Master Frans” (the head of our Free Masters Club “Art•RAZOR”). Generally, I would like to share my thoughts about razors, paying a tribute to masters and enterprises of the past. I will start with a steel. However, what is the difference between a good razor and a bad one? It is clear, we should compare the similar razors only, which have the same parameters.

The Art of Straight Razor

Lets introduce to each other. I’m a master Tory but you can call me just Tory. Our Free Masters Club “Art•RAZOR” (the head of the project is the famous Ukrainian master — Frans) makes straight razors, the real tools for a traditional shaving, they are of a good quality, reliable in use, and I hope look like beautiful things. Besides, mr. Andrey Tupolev was convinced that “Beautiful aircrafts fly good only”. For ten years, dedicated to a sharpen, restoration and rearrangement of the old razors, I understood their production philosophy. Thus, I had both success and disappointments.
