THE MASTERS ARE GOING TO THE MARKET

A year and a half ago, the creative association, already well known to the adepts of the classical shaving of many countries under the name of "Club of Free Masters "Art•RAZOR", began work on the blade razors of manual production. During this time we have a rather impressive line up that allows you to choose a razor for every taste, for any type of person and shaving style, and also according to the financial capabilities of the customer. From the very beginning, I and my like-minded follow the path of functionalism. This means that no decorative properties of the product should impair the comfort of shaving and maintenance of the tool.

THE STRAIGHT RAZOR COUPLE "MURAT et GROUCHY"

The Club of Free Masters "Art•RAZOR" unites people who sincerely love Razor both as a traditional tool and as a cultural phenomenon. Master Frans, chief of our project, repeatedly wrote about this in previous articles. In fact, it would be unlikely that we could achieve a certain success and recognition among users in Ukraine and far beyond its borders in a relatively short period of time, just over a year, if they treated their business differently. We will note that the core of our creative and production team is made up of people who are quite grown up. We all take our project seriously and responsibly, despite the inevitable difficulties of an objective and personal nature.

SHAPE AS A CONTENT REFLECTION

In my previous publications, I repeatedly raised the question of the aesthetics of razors produced by "Art•RAZOR", and in this connection emphasized that we have a large set of solutions for different user preferences, including the blade form factor. I think it's time to clarify what lies behind our rich assortment, and not only in the aesthetic sense. I'm not tired of repeating that a razor is a hygiene tool, and therefore it has rather high technological requirements. And the correct geometry (more precisely, the stereometry) of the razor is the key to comfortable shaving and reliable insurance against injuries.

SOMETHING ABOUT HONING or TEST STONE

Honestly saying, I was thinking a lot before write this article. The reason is a simple one : as many sharpeners, as many ways of honing. It is clear that the honing of the knife differs from the honing of the scissors, and both of them differ from the honing of the blade razor. The last is an invitation to a regular discussion. But to the constructive discussion, where there is no place for trolling and disputes until the hoarseness about which of us, the"sharpeners"is more awesome.The question of honing razors is not an easy one, and you need to approach it carefully. At the same time, I do not like to cast a shadow on the fence and I think that the problem of honing is so important and always relevant that it would be wrong to get around it’s attention in the blog. I will try to present the material in such a way that it is also understandable to the reader who does not have the training of a sharpener and generally faces such a discussion for the first time. An additional motivation for writing the article was the questions of our customers who note the high quality of the razors “Art•RAZOR” and, at the same time, sometimes show surprise at our choice of honing materials. In fact, many European razor lovers still believe that the best sharpening of the blade can be achieved solely on expensive natural stones!

THE GOOD YEAR

Soon it will be a one year of "Art•RAZOR"  team work. This was the first year. I share with you our successes. During this time, the masters of "Art•RAZOR" made a breakthrough. In the beginning there have been many successful experiments with different materials and shapes. We have been working with wood, horn, bone and plastic. It was produced full-length and travel- size kits in various models. Now our range contains more than thirty diverse models of razors. It has already released more than 100 products for every taste.
