THE GOOD YEAR

Soon it will be a one year of "Art•RAZOR"  team work. This was the first year. I share with you our successes. During this time, the masters of "Art•RAZOR" made a breakthrough. In the beginning there have been many successful experiments with different materials and shapes. We have been working with wood, horn, bone and plastic. It was produced full-length and travel- size kits in various models. Now our range contains more than thirty diverse models of razors. It has already released more than 100 products for every taste.

Each of our razor has their structural and decorative features. We are developing a proactive projects, and carry out design to order. Models of small-scale production are presented on our website store. We tried to make it as convenient as possible, and on it you can see the main body of the products that have been successfully tested and evaluated very positively by our customers. As a rule, it’s going to discuss orders and production aspects there; Master Frans personally answers to all the questions of customers and potential customers.

Recently, our collections have been added useful and nice accessories, there are shaving brushes and stropping belts. We hope that our artisan products not only meet functional requirements, but also pleasing to the eye :).

 

It has completed a big stage of the work on the creation of a lineup. They say there is no limit to perfection. We produce modern razors, using quality materials that allow to create beautiful, bright designs without sacrificing functionality.

As I mentioned earlier in one of the first reports, it depends on the type and quality of steel , the quality of a blade and a cutting edge, the duration of sharpening and how easy and convenient will be stropping a razor. Quite important is the question of corrosion resistance. We try to select the best, high-quality material, comfortable to use and trouble-free maintenance. Now we use high carbon tool steel mainly produced in Sweden (O1, Uddeholm arne). But ahead, there are trials and experiments with other types of steel-stainless steel, “surgical” stell, etc. I hope they will be successful. In the 2017 we plan to focus on the nuances of the steel part of our production, giving preference to those materials that have been tried and approved by the experts of the international traditional shaving community. Much attention will be paid to handle materials, because there is not everything has been tested.

As for the lineup, it will certainly be expanded, but not as intense as it was at the start, in the past year. The reason is simple: the current set of models can satisfy the most demanding customers; each adept of traditional shaving can find various form factors. But, nevertheless, we still have a sufficient number of fresh ideas :).
